NÃM is a Lisbon-based circular business that reuses ground coffee waste to grow Oyster mushrooms. We drink only 1% of ground coffee, whereas 99% of each cup ends up discarded. But those leftovers represent are a great source of nutrients that could be reused.

NÃM’s mission is to produce something valuable out of something that’s been regarded as waste, and not to create any additional waste in the process. By growing mushrooms in one of the central districts of Lisbon, the Company is not only demonstrating that you can start a zero-waste business around food scraps, but also that you can be successful while at it.
